Thoughts from a Slacker

May hasn’t been the best month for my dance progress. I’ve been preoccupied with other things, like random inconveniences, multiple epiphanies and major life events. I’ve missed several classes and haven’t done any practicing. I’m not proud.

That said, I think this period was good preparation for what lies ahead in the second half of the year. I’ve learned some things … I’ve had time (and been forced) to think and make some decisions. Now I can move on with a (relatively) clear head.

Good thing, too, because June will be one of those get-my-ass-in-gear months, for sure. I’ve realized there are plenty of things in this life I can do without, but flamenco isn’t one of them. Next month I renew my commitment to that. There will be so much to talk about! I’m going to leave it at that for now, but stay tuned because I’ll be blogging up a storm in a few weeks.

I’m feeling under the weather, but I’m going to try my best to make it to class tomorrow. My soul needs it.
