This week I’m playing nanny to a good friend’s ridiculously adorable 6-month-old daughter. We’re having so much fun! But that doesn’t mean I’m neglecting my rehearsal duties. On the contrary, I have an excellent little audience. She seems to enjoy it, no?

In addition to watching me play, she’s seen me do living-room sevillanas and she’s also been subjected to the iTunes flamenco playlist. Her mom noticed she was making new, strange noises last night, which I attributed to the wailing she’d listened to earlier. The kid catches on quickly, I guess. Future flamenca? I think so.
